Photo of the Weekend: Me, Signing Books

I signed Marseguro for 2 1/2 hours at Smith Books in the Cornwall Centre on Friday, for two hours at Book & Brier on Saturday, and for two hours at Chapters on Sunday. Sold quite a few books, had some nice chats with people (not all of whom bought my book, the usual excuse being "I'm not into science fiction") and, as you can see, got my picture taken by my friend Sharon Eisbrenner, who kept me company at Book & Brier and showed up at the very end of the Chapters signing, too.Sold a few copies of Lost in Translation at ...

The first sentence I wrote today…

There are two sides to the legacy of Janis Joplin.I finished the bulk of the book today and am now doing clean-up work on it (adding subheads and breaking some stuff in sidebars, putting in the supplemental material--timeline, bibliography) etc.This evening was the official launch of A Safe and Prosperous Future: 100 Years of Engineering and Geoscience Achievements in Saskatchewan, which was held in the Legislative Library at the Saskatchewan Legislative Building. Copies of the book were presented to Premier Lorne Calvert, a representative of the Opposition (not Brad Wall--he didn't make it) and others, including the library itself, of course.
