Inspired by my own cover art

This sentence didn’t exist in Terra Insegura until today’s revisions, though the scene it’s part of did. Compare it to the cover art:

They watched as Karl and the rest of his tiny band of followers exited the shuttle and headed across the vast flat expanse of the spaceport toward the looming towers of the City of God, only dimly visible through the thick haze of acrid smoke that hung over everything.

I don’t know exactly what Stephan Martiniere worked from when he did the cover, but it was fun to use the cover art for inspiration for this small bit of revision!
