On this page, you can find the entire 1982 recording of a concert by the Harding University A Cappella Chorus, which began our European tour that year (I was 2 1/2 years past graduation and returned as an alumni singer for that tour). That was 35 years ago as I post this in 2017. But 35 years before THAT, in 1947, my father was singing with the Harding College A Cappella Chorus, directed by Andy T. Ritchie. That year the chorus toured to Chicago, where it recorded four songs on 78 rpm records. Years ago I transferred those 78s to cassette tapes, which years after that I digitized, and which now I’ve cleaned up electronically a little bit. And here they are! Even then, “The Lord Bless You and Keep You” ended concerts, just as it did when I sang in the chorus my father directed at Western Christian College, and as it did when I sang in the Harding University A Cappella Chorus, and as I suspect it still does to this day.
