Writing Diary: July 20, 2004

Somewhat belatedly–hey, yesterday was my birthday!–here’s my writing note for July 20:

A good day, actually. I got my science column out to my e-subscribers, the blog and the Regina Leader Post, then did a nice big swatch of re-writing on Shards of Excalibur–I’d rather hoped to finish it, but that wasn’t to be; today, maybe–and then got in a good chunk of time on the Orson Scott Card biography. I should finish Chapter 3 today and then Chapter 4 tomorrow or Friday, which will put me on the downward slope to actually finishing the sucker.

And in case you’re wondering, yes, I did have a birthday party: champagne and cashews and presents at home, followed by sushi and cake at a Japanese restaurant.
