Stop the presses!

A Sondheim show has recouped its investment on Broadway.

It’s an odd thing, but though Stephen Sondheim is considered (certainly I consider him) probably the greatest living Broadway composer, and one of the greatest of all time, few of his shows have been financially successful. The current revival of Sweeney Todd appears to be an exception.
