Photo of the Day: Two Thirds of Ephriam

This weekend my high school class (Western Christian College, class of 1976) is one of the honored classes at Homecoming–in other words, it’s our 30th reunion.
Tonight Homecoming kicked off with an alumni concert. I sang “Me” from Beauty and the Beast and “Old Man River” from Showboat, and then Jim Mann, now an architect in B.C., and Phil Jensen (not the name we knew him under in school, but the name he records under), now a singer/songwriter in Denver, reconstituted two thirds of their high-school group Ephriam (third member Pete Brazle didn’t make it back). They performed some of the songs we all remembered Ephriam doing 30 years ago, then also did Phil’s best-known song to date, Point the Way–which reached number 13 on the adult contemporary chart–and a new 30th anniversary song Phil had written just for the reunion.
More reunioning tomorrow! And you should really buy Phil’s CD. Really!
Go do it now.
