As usual, the odd time it turns out that I am right, it’s accidental.

Um, no, this time you commented in the right place. The correct link is always the one that appears under the post, beneath the horizontal line.

Regarding Wascana Lake, it’s much much nicer now since it was drained and deepened and additional landscaping was done a couple of years ago. You wouldn’t have seen that sailboat on there three years ago before the renovations, because the weeds would have been grabbing its centerboard and it probably would have been in constant danger of running aground!

Again, I think I commented on the photo using the link belonging to the article below it (Anne Althouse). I need a course in screen orienteering.

Anyone who thinks Regina is an ugly city has just not spent enough time at Wascana Lake. It’s peaceful and beautiful. You can almost always meet someone there or enjoy some quiet solitude. One of my favourite memories of university days in Regina is a March 22 event (international day for the elimination of racisim) during which Wascana park become a tapestry of cultural music, food and costume. Another memory is the almost daily jog around the lake which was accompanied by the sport of squawking. You can always ask Dave Paterson now of Saskatoon what squawking is. It was his favourite activity which he and I enjoyed together on our Wascana jogs.
