Watch me sing three songs at my writer-in-residence reception

I’m well into my term as writer-in-residence at the Saskatoon Public Library. For my official welcoming reception on October 8, I of course read and talked about being writer-in-residence–but I also sang three songs, accompanied by Deborah Buck: “Me” from Beauty and the Beast, “In a Very Unusual Way” from Nine, and “I Sit Beside the Fire” from The Road Goes Ever On, the song cycle of poems by J.R.R. Tolkien set to music by Donald Swann. Enjoy!
