Blue stars circling a black hole

Using the Hubble Space Telescope, stronomers have confirmed that the dark mass at the centre of the Andromeda galaxy is a massive black hole–but they can’t explain why it has a disk of blue stars orbiting it.

As Billy Shakespeare wrote, “There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”

Still true. Still cool.
