My Tolkien bio makes VOYA Honor List!
Hey, this is cool: I just got a letter informing me my children’s biography of J.R.R. Tolkien, J.R.R. Tolkien: Master of Imaginary Worlds, published by Enslow Publishers, has been named to the VOYA (Voice of Youth Advocates) 10th annual Nonfiction Honor List. VOYA is a library magazine aimed at the librarians who serve young adults.
VOYA is hosting a reception on Sunday, June 26, at the American Library Association Annual Conference where the 21 Nonfiction Honor books will be displayed and winners will be congratulated. Alas, it’s in Chicago, and much as I like Chicago, that would end up being an awfully expensive reception for me. Still, it’s nice to get the recognition!
