Writing Diary: July 14, 2004

A productive day, I thought. This morning was one of those when I co-hosted Radio dell’Arte on CJTR, Regina’s community radio station; we interviewed a Regina-born actress from the cast of The Delicate Art of Parking, a comic mockumentary that is opening here on Friday (the director and several cast members will be in attendance) for the first half hour, then in the second half hour talked about my very own book, J.R.R. Tolkien: Master of Imaginary Worlds.

After lunch, I went to Second Cup and worked on Excalibur Reforged for an hour, during which time I decided to retitle the series The Shards of Excalibur. At least, that’s my title for this week.

Then it was home to work on the Orson Scott Card bio; I finished up Chapter 2 (well, except for a sidebar on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints I think I’ll need to add in later) and e-mailed it to OSC for review before I had to go pick up little Alice at daycare.

I hope to have Chapter 3 done by Friday at the latest.

A good day!
