My new novel Lost in Translation
(Cover art by Jill Bauman)
Just got my authors’ copies of Lost in Translation–nice hardcovers, complete with dust jackets. I’m actually surprised by how short the book seems, even though it’s more than 300 pages. It seemed long enough when I was writing it…
I do like the artwork better in color (the scan above makes it look quite orange and brown–it’s really more pink and purple), although the S’sinn on the cover doesn’t look the way I picture that alien race in my head–but that’s part of the fun of having an artist interpret your words, isn’t it?
And speaking of artists, there was apparently a change sometime after I talked to Alan M. Clark, who I’ve been assuming all along had done the cover. It seems to have been handed off to Jill Bauman, instead. My apologies for the earlier error!
