Night balloon
We stood in line for an hour and a half the other night at the Family Festival of the Canada Summer Games so Alice and Margaret Anne could take a short tethered hot-air balloon ride…only to have the rides cut off just before it was our turn. (And why couldn’t they have counted out just how many more people they could take a good hour before that and warned us we wouldn’t make it? No reason, except for a complete incomprehension of the basics of customer service and public relations…not that I’m bitter. Much.)
End result: all I got out of it were a few pictures, of which this was the best.
