This is Richmond Centre, the big shopping mall just up the street from the hotel I’m in here in Richmond, B.C. Yeah, it’s just a shopping centre, but I thought this was a nice sunny space. (Might be a bit depressing in the rain, though.)
The Second Cup where I’ve been doing some of my writing is around the corner to the right from here.
Speaking of writing, I got quite a bit done today: 3,000 or 4,000 words of Janis Joplin, I think–I’m about a quarter done, maybe more–and 2,700 of the still-untitled DAW Book. Otherwise, I read some blogs, had an excellent dinner at the Mad Greek Restaurant, watched the season premiere of Dr. Who, called home, and that was my day.
