I’ll be reading in Saskatoon tomorrow night, January 24…

…at McNally Robinson Bookstore, from Lost in Translation. 7 p.m. If you’re in the vicinity, come say hi!

To my astonishment, I just discovered yesterday that McNally Robinson chose to put my picture (the same one you see over there in the left sidebar) in their ad for upcoming events at their stores in Winnipeg, Saskatoon and Calgary that ran in the Globe and Mail‘s “Books” section on Saturday.

Since the Globe and Mail we get is printed in Winnipeg and contains content specific to the West, I doubt the ad was seen anywhere east of Winnipeg, but still, it was a nice surprise. I’m not sure why they chose to highlight me out of all the upcoming authors that will be at the Saskatoon store.

Maybe nobody else sent them a picture.

Oh, and I almost forgot: I’ll also be on CTV’s Saskatoon station over the lunch hour talking about the book.
