No third Marseguro book
Disappointing news from my agent yesterday: DAW has decided it doesn’t want a third book in the Marseguro series, thereby making a liar out of the Science Fiction Book Club, which announced Marseguro as the first book “in a gripping new trilogy“!
Fortunately, Terra Insegura does not end with the kind of obvious sequel tag Marseguro did, so readers won’t be short-changed: it’s complete in and of itself.
Also fortunately, there’s another proposal with DAW, for a fantasy tentatively titled Magebane, that they seem more interested in, though no decision yet.
Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Thanks for stopping by, Grace! Yes, Terra Insegura will be out May 5, and although it includes seeds that could have led to a third book, it’s still complete in and of itself. I hope you enjoy it!
I’ll probably be giving away copies again closer to release, by the way.
Oh, that’s unfortunate. I just finished Marseguro yesterday and really loved it, and came here looking to find out if there were other books in the works. Very glad to hear there’s a second one coming out though!
Sorry to hear that, Ed.
