Here I am, sitting in the lobby lounge of the Bessborough Hotel in Saskatoon, going over my plans for tonight’s Genetics Demystified reading and reception…and, since I have my Audiovox Harrier with me, and since I recently signed up for an unlimited data plan, I figured I might as well blog.
We had a pretty good drive up here; lots of slush and ice in the passing lane (it’s four-lane all the way, about a 2 1/2-hour drive in good conditions) but clear enough, though wet, in the driving lane. The temperature was close enough to freezing that the roads stayed melting. I’m glad the trip was in the relatively warm daytime instead of night, when I think the ice problem will be much, much worse.
Tomorrow we’re driving back at about the same time, so I hope conditions will be similar.
More on how the reading went later, maybe.
