A headline I never expected to see:

Belated Photo of the Weekend: The Best Seat in the House

A tender and touching moment (literally) from Regina Lyric Light Opera‘s production of Candide over the weekend, as I, playing the Governor, make my feelings known to Maximillian (played by Jeff Sawatsky), convinced as I am at this moment that he is a girl. No, really. (Photo by our director, Robert Ursan.)

Alien spaceships in northern Saskatchewan?

As a teenager I was quite Mulderish regarding the spaceshippiness of UFOs, but the older I get, the more skeptical I get. The CBC story linked to compares it to Harry Potter’s cloak, but the good old Romulan cloaking device from Star Trek seems a better fit to me. In either case, it’s …

Another Slightly Belated Photo of the Day: Lilacs

Too busy getting ready for opening night of Candide to do much blogging today. The opening went very well–standing ovation, extremely complimentary comments from Lynda Haverstock, the Lieutenant-Governor of Saskatchewan, who was present tonight, all that good stuff. But I didn’t want to miss my photo of the day completely, so here it is, late …
