O, Canada…

…you’re in trouble now. As of yesterday afternoon, I’m officially a Canadian citizen. And that means (ominous musical chords) I can vote!

Bwa-ha-ha! At last I can exercise my evil plan to subvert Canada to my hard-line middle-of-the-road position, one vote at a time!

Congrats! Welcome to the extended Canadian family… your hard-line middle-of-the-road subversion may hit a speed bump when you find most of Canada seems to already be there with you!

Not hardly! I am two, two, two citizens in one. Just like the better class of breath mints.

Besides, I never rant. I elucidate and enlighten. Not to mention alliterate.

Well, congratulations. Of course, the first thing you need to learn to fit in is that there is no comma between O and Canada. In the 19th century, when the song was penned, people still knew about the Greek vocative. Kudos for leaving the “h” off it though.

Because, of course, all other Canadians have this particular detail nailed. *ahem*

Seriously, welcome to the fold. Good luck with the political conversion thing.
