Yesterday I submitted two novel proposals to my agent, Ethan Ellenberg (well, three, actually, but only two were new). One is for a sequel to my upcoming novel Marseguro, tentatively titled Terra Inseguro, and one is for a fantasy novel tentatively titled Magebane. (The third is for a sequel to Lost in Translation, which DAW has already seen but I wanted to resubmit now that they might have some sense as to whether or not anyone would actually want to read a sequel to Lost in Translation.)
All of them run the equivalent of about 14 or 15 standard manuscript pages. So I was interested to read, on Amazon’s blog, the original proposal William Gibson used to sell his upcoming book Spook Country. It’s only about five pages long and far, far less detailed.
But then, I’m not William Gibson…more’s the pity.

It’s all plotted out. It’s just a question of whether or not DAW thinks its worthwhile.
